Formed: 1998 Sathor (guitar) and Nero Baratro (bass) 1999 Abyss on drums and Azrael on vocals join the band. Winter 1999 record their first demo CD "Iter in Obscuritates Mentis" 7 songs 45 min approx. containing Latin lyrics. 2003 sign a contract for one record deal with the Italian label Elegy Music 2004 record the their first full lenght "Daemonolatria Hypnotica" 9 traks lasting over 40 minutes. August 2004 the drummer Sargon join the band September 2004 they play some live dates and one of those supporting Impaled Nazarene. September 2005 they enter studio to record a two tracks demo CD for label submitting only. January 2006 Ars Macabra sign a new contract with the Canadian label Sinister Sounds for a record deal. The CD "Hate Induced Trance" is released in Sept 2007. The singer from the Norwegian band ,Crest of Darkness (Ingar Amlien) contribute with singing on two songs of the album "Hate Induced Trance" and "Nomen Exterminus" The apocalyptic folk ambient act "Exemtum" from Germany collaborate to the record. 2008 the new singer Herebus join the band. November-December 2008 Ars Macabra play in different venues, local and outside of Italy, one supporting Negura Bunget in Belgium and another date in Germany. They record 4 new reharsal tracks and at the moment are working on new songs. Aeternus join the band as session drummer. Ars Macabra will perform, march 22, with Dornenreich , Agalloch , Opera IX.
